Embedding Flower

In the springtime on April 1960, some seeds were sprinkle across Texas soil and rose an African American child.  I have no recollection of my infancy, except the stories that my older sister gladly shared with me. At the time, there were only me and my older sister and she shares a tale of me gazing out the window, saying that the wind is blowing. I don't remember how old I was, but I do know that I had not learn to walk. Interesting enough, that wind begins a journey, that will effect the rest of my life.

Just like Jesus, my life was an blur and in that same month April 1984, I was baptized in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, and I am on a plane the following weeks, to Los Angeles. It's not until 24 years later I set off on a course to follow Jesus in Kenya Africa.

To be continued......

The Christian Casing with a Jewish Spirit.

Mary, what can I say? I long to find my identity in this Christian bode, but my soul yearns through a Jewish spirit. Isaiah 6:8 Then I heard the voice of my Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? Who will go for us? And I said, "Here am I send me".  Although, I have walk the valleys clinging to nothing, hearing the old sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and my name being called since childhood "come" only after my baptism, that an unfamiliar spirit stirs within my soul. Then one day I came across a book, Becoming A Jew by Julius Lester and I understood the stranger that enter through my soul, from the heavens through that old holy city Jerusalem, cross the Atlantic and found a lost sheep roaming helpless in the west, removing the old wine skin and pouring the holy spirit into an new wine skin. Creating a new life and a new body, a Christian casing with a Jewish spirit, I am at home free.
